Today, Gay can eat and do physical therapy. She and I have learned to do transfers from bed to wheelchair and all the other stuff we need to know to do to go home. The doctors are telling us she is healing and medical issues are getting resolved. God has answered so many prayers and is continuing to work in Gay’s body and her witness.
I am most impressed, excited, proud, and amazed by how Gay has continued to witness throughout this process. So many have asked (and Gay is happy to tell) what makes you different. She consistently tells of Jesus and how a relationship with the living savior is the only answer.
I want to remind all of you about our miracle-working God and how your prayers are being answered:
- Gay had a life-threatening infection; we prayed – God answered, and her life is no longer in danger
- Gay has a condition in her left foot that calls for amputation. We prayed Gay still has that leg, and God is restoring it.
- Gay’s Kidneys quit working after her second surgery. We prayed; kidneys are now functioning 100%
- Gay suffered from low oxygen and shortness of breath. We prayed; all was normal today.
- The medicines were causing Gay not to be able to eat, and she was getting weaker every day. We prayed, and Gay can eat and gets stronger every day.
- There is such a list of answered prayers that I can not list it all. But know this: your prayers are essential.
Keep praying for us. We have a great deal to endure before we reach the complete restoration. I could give a list of procedures, but I would rather say we will be busy with this for another 3-4 months.
I call to you, Lord, come quickly to me;
hear me when I call to you.
May my prayer be set before you like incense;
may the lifting up of my hands be like the evening sacrifice.
Psalm 114:1-2
Today, please pray for the following:
- Physical strength
- Spiritual stamina
- Financial blessing
- Blessing for all that have surrounded us to help with the logistical matters
- That I get to take Gay to our house for the remaining of her rehab soon
Blessing to you all,
Chris & Gay
