Revelation -Marriage Applications
The "Married Couples Small Groups" ministry seeks to introduce married couples to God's Word and help them apply it to their marriage. In addition, the document's purpose is to provide you (the small group leader) with suggested applications.
These are just suggestions to help you prepare for your group. If you have a different application, please feel free to use it. We acknowledge that finding an application to teach can be complex, so we provide these as support to you, not as a directive to teach.
Please take note of the "Call to Action" for each application. A good opening activity would be to hear how volunteers answered the call.
How has God blessed their marriage?
What are they hearing from God?
The book comprises 22 chapters. The Bible Study will usually cover a single chapter of the Bible in each 90-minute session. In some cases, we have combined them to cover a single theme. Therefore, 20 application pages are included in this book for the book of Revelation.
Introduction:
- The name of the book is Revelation, not Revelations. There is but a single revelation here: God has prepared a place for us and is coming back for his bride
- This book shows us that God, our all-powerful God, is reclaiming His rightful place on the throne and calling His people to Him.
- We see that many on Earth will resist him and perish, and many will live with him in glory
- We see the final defeat of our enemy – the accuser, the evil one, the liar, the one that comes between us and God.
- John reveals Heaven’s glory to us. Not so that we can understand it, but so that we can believe and long for it.
- Fear not what is about to happen; it is all so that Christ will come and take us home. The revelation John shares here is good news for all who belong to God.
